UNITED KINGDOM UK VISA REQUIREMENTS

To apply for a UK visa in Nigeria, you’ll need the following documents.
1)A valid international passport
2) A passport-sized color photo on white background that isn’t more than 45mmx35m.
3)Visa fee.

6)Letter of Invitation.
7)Original bank statement for at least 6 months.
8)Photocopy of passport data page.
9)Birth certificate for children travelling with
parents.
10)For those travelling on official businesses, there has to be a letter of invitation/confirmation of training/conference, details of the Company’s Authorised representative as well as physical address and phone numbers.
11)Utility bills.
12)Details of flight/hotel bookings.
13)If married, marriage certificate.
14)Document from sponsor / friend.

STEPS TO APPLY FOR A UK VISA IN NIGERIA

STEP 1
You need to know the type of visa you should apply and how much it would cost you, check on the UK Immigration and visa site for the type of Visa most suitable to you and the cost of such Visa. You also need to book your appointment with the UK visa Application Centre. After you’ve filled the form, a number known as the GWF would be issued to you. Handle this with care because you would need it during the registration process. You would then get an email which would contain the appointment date, location and the required documents to bring along with you to the application centre.

STEP 2
Register your details at the Teleperformance website (www.ge2ng.tpcontact.co.uk/register) This is necessary otherwise , your appointment wouldn’t be honoured. Teleperformance is the UK application centre located in Abuja or Lagos. The company is in a partnership with UK to make visa application easier. After you have registered your details at Teleperformance, you can also track your application through this platform.

STEP 3
Take note of the time and date from the email sent to you and endeavour to be on time else you may need to rebook an appointment. Remember to go with the required documents. After fee payment, your biometric data would be collected. This applies also to children below the age of 5 now.
This submission is done between 8:30AM to 4:30PM weekdays except during holidays. After submission, processing time is 4 to 6 working days except in cases of crime or refusal history.

STEP 4: COLLECTION OF VISA
Normally, an SMS would be sent to you letting you know that your application has been sent to the UK Embassy for approval (on the submission date) and you would be also notified when it had been sent back to the UK Application Centre for collection.
For collection, come with your application checklist, original ID and a photocopy of the data page of your passport between 10:00AM to 4:00PM . Third person collection is not permitted except in cases of Government representatives, a parent
collecting for his/her child or collecting on behalf of the family if they applied together.
